Match details

🏏 Match:ZIM vs NED – Match 5
🗓️ Date:20 June 2023
🕗 Time:07:00 AM (GMT)
🏟️ Stadium:Harare Sports Club
🎲 Toss:Zimbabwe, Bowl 1st

Pitch Report: The sun is shining down now. We’ve shifted eastwards to a new surface and it looks good for batting. Not a lot of grass, quite firm and dry, the ball will come onto the bat well. The first 30 minutes could be a bit tricky though, the new ball could swing around and as a batter you’ll have to be careful. The average score batting first is 230, but I do think you’ll have to get somewhere close to 300 today, reckons Samuel Badree, in his pitch report

Craig Ervine: We will bowl first, in the last game, we didn’t bowl well, looking for early breakthroughs. Same team today. Just be disciplined with your line and lengths, be patient with the ball. This is a new role (on opening), started well and looking to continue that form.

Scott Edwards: Not too concerned with the weather, it’s played pretty well. We’re not too concerned about our squad, the guys present here have made runs and taken wickets previously, we’re happy with what we have. We have played in Zimbabwe last year and so we do know these conditions well.
